Spacecargo is a one-man instrumental project featuring composer and musician Sylvain Doreau.
An artist, composer, and producer. He was actually born in France, but he’s been based in California for 20 years, before eventually relocating to Dublin, Ireland, where he currently keeps making music. This unique background also reflects on the artist’s sound, which is incredibly diverse and multicultural.
Spacecargo’s sound is influenced by a huge range of styles, ranging from post rock, to cold-wave, psychedelic rock, electronic, and Ambient. From Pink Floyd and Tangerine Dream, Cocteau Twins to Brian Eno, Sigur Ros, Air, Mogwai, and Explosions In The Sky, anything goes!

Recently, Spacecargo announced the release of his brand new album, “Hexagon,” which takes the project’s sound to an even more mercurial and creatively fulfilling sonic direction. The sound of this release is highly detailed, with many contrasting atmospheres and beautifully widescreen cinematic tones adding so much texture to each composition. The album explores sounds as diverse as post-punk, shoegaze, cold wave, and modern post-rock, with tinges of electronic music here and there, as well as stunning orchestral overlays.
On the album, there is a unique balance between dark and urban, with dreamy tracks and lush sonic atmospheres.
